The 2026 Fireside Invitational is composed of 24ish washed up former-West Point athlete friends that rarely get to see each other anymore. Some served, some didn’t. Some got out, and some stayed.
This year, they all get the chance to hangout, drink beer, and play the most below-average golf.
The Rules
The Fireside Invitational is a 3-team scramble golf tournament.
Each team is composed of 8 golfers // 4 two-somes \\
Over the course of two days, each two-some will play against another two-some from a different team.
Every round is a two-man scramble, match play.
If you win your head-to-head matchup, 1 point for your team. End in a tie, both teams receive 1/2 point.
After Day 1, Team Captains will have the opportunity to switch/rearragne their two-somes for Day 2.
Timeline and Courses
Thursday 30 July 2026
Snake draft at the Box residence. Time TBD.
DRAFT ORDER also TBD.
Match up will be posted immediately following the draft.
Friday 31 July 2026
The first round will be played at Bear Creek Golf Club.
Tee times are from 11am - 12pm. There’s two courses: East and West. Honestly, not sure which one we’re playing yet, so flip a coin.
Saturday 01 August 2026
The second and final round will be hosted at The Courses of Watters Creek.
Tee time are from 10am - 11am. There will be a “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” contest.
Here, we will find out who becomes the very first Fireside Invitational Champions.

Plan to arrive Thursday evening and make your way to the Box residence in preparation for the draft.
